Every year, on the September long weekend, Nicola Valley welcomes top cowboys and cowgirls to compete for almost $20,000 in prize money in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s (CPRA) Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo.
We offer close-to-the-action covered grandstand seating, free parking, food concessions, beer gardens and an assortment of vendors, including crafters and saddle makers, selling all things western. All the cowboys and cowgirls are fighting for a position at the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR), so the action will be intense. The Labour Day Weekend is busy in Merritt with the Annual Rodeo and Fall Fair. Come and visit our valley this September long weekend…and Get ‘er done!
The 59th Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo is dedicated to our hometown hero Ty Pozzobon, who left us too soon this year. To support the Ty Pozzobon Foundation got to www.typozzobon.com and follow #livelikeTy on social media. There will be Ty Pozzobon Foundation merchandise available at the rodeo.
